APPROACH AND PHILOSOPHY
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.

In order to tailor my interventions to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family unit, I draw from a variety of theoretical orientations and techniques such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the works of John and Julie Gottman. However, my foundational approach is based on the works of Carl Roger’s Person-Centered Therapy, that is, I believe that my clients already have within them the ability to achieve the life they desire.
I believe all individuals possess the resources necessary to positively shape their lives and promote internal and behavioral change. However, the complications and hardships of life often cause people to abandon life-affirming choices, lose sight of their unique strengths, and give in to hopelessness and helplessness. I believe counseling can help people get back on track by providing a safe and inviting space where individuals can challenge their self-defeating beliefs, engage in a process of self-exploration, and truly feel heard and understood. My goal and purpose are to walk alongside you as you discover and regain your vision and direction in life.
"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."
-Carl Rogers
